It's possible that Windows updated one of the files Aurora uses and in the process broke compatibility. I'm not the programer, so that's just my guess as to the likely cause. Sometimes, switching from a .wav file can also cause Aurora to hang.
The current release version is v90 and it contains stability fixes. Yes, A DMX "hack" is available for v90, but is a separate download than v90 itself. Whenever you upgrade / downgrade, the proper procedure to follow is this: 1. Uninstall v1.0.69 from Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel 2. Reboot (even if you aren't asked to). Do not skip this step. 3. Install v1.0.90 4. Reboot (even if you aren't asked to). Do not skip this step. If do you skip any steps then it is possible that portions of 1.0.69 might still be hanging around and could cause unpredictable issues in 1.0.90. |

Hello all,
I fired up Aurora to "buff up" for this years show only to discover that I receive the following error once it ask me for the location of the audio file..."Decompiling data for editing". The program just hangs at this message. Nothing has changed with my computer since last years show. any help would be greatly appreciated. I did un-install and then re-install the program. It is version .69 as I have not played with the DMX version. Thanks, Kevin |
