With Scheduler, when that happens it invokes the BSOD (blue screen of death).  With the HW Utility, it causes the program to stop responding and task manager kills it off for me.  With Aurora, it usually does the same thing as the HW Utility, but that time the task manager couldn't end the program or shut down the system.

Sounds like the USB adapter drivers didn't want to release the port for some reason.

I was working on a project, and it became necessary for me to close Aurora.  The program had started to "think" about something right after I had deselected the light bulb, but it never recovered and went into the not responding mode.  I brought up the task manager, and told it to end the non responsive program.  It then sat there and did nothing.  Aurora remained open, but not responding.  So I did it again.  Same thing.  No matter what, Aurora just won't die.  This is the first time I have come across any program that has been able to overcome the task manager killing it off.  I don't know if this is an Aurora issue or a Windows issue, but I thought it worth reporting anyway.

EDIT:  I was unable to do a restart or shutdown.  I ended up having to press the power button for a few seconds to kill windows off to recover from it.
