If their saved on your computer from a CD, you should have no issue converting them to Wav files........what did you use to convert the one you had issues with in Aurora?
You can also use Audacity to save them to Wav as well...just open them and resave as Wav |

That's what I did.
They seem fine on 2003, no longer work in Vista.
I've resaved them in 2003 and pulled them back, and they still do not work. I've also cleared out the cache directory to see if that helped. It didn't.
I do have arches in them, not that it should make a difference. Right?

So what format are they set up for.
I converted mine in audacity ( www.audacity.com ) from MP3 to WAV format:
Project Rate: 44100
Save as File Type: WAV, AIFF, and other uncompressed types
If you right click on the wav file and look at properties -> summary you should see something like:
Bite Rate: 705kbps
audio sample: 8 bit
channels 2 (stereo)
audio sample rate: 44khz
audio format: PCM

Sounds like either work because yours works on the H/W and so does mine :-)
I just flipped mine to 16 bit and get the same file specs as yours now :-) Edited by peteandvanessa - 02 Oct 2008 at 5:04pm |

Yep, that's what I have. I just opened the mp3 in audacity, and exported as wav.
I'm transfering the updated to my tablet now to see if they work here.

Does anyone really know why MP3 cause troubles? I know Wav file are much larger, maybe it has something to do with the file compression.

The best settings for a WAV file are 44.1kHz, 16-bit, 2 channels. When ripping from a CD this will result in a lossless file that doesn't have any aliasing artifacts.
