Hi, I'm another newbie just getting things sorted, I will purchase the software this week but was playing with the demo before my controllers arrive. I keep getting "Aurora stopped working" and then the only option i have is to shut the demo down and restart it...
Im running Vista and wondered if anyone else experienced this and what the fix is....

It appears usually when i run a sequence or import a file..

My machine is fairly good, Vista Home, SP2...4GB Ram. terra HDD dual core E6850 (Intel) GForce9600 Graphics card.

is this just a demo version issue ?

thks

Aurora has a 15 minute demo restriction.  You can do anything you want until the time is up.  At that point, you get the message and have to restart.  Once you purchase the software, you get a software key and the time restriction goes away.

Which version do you have.  Have you downloaded the most current version from http://www.aurorashow.com/download.asp

There are other versions there too.  Check into which version you are using and let us know

Thanks

FYI:  It can take a day or two before the key arrives.

Have you restarted your system?  If not, Aurora requires a full reboot before it will function.  (It's a Windows registry thing.)

If that doesn't work, if you haven't already done so, disable the UAC in Vista.  It has caused issues for other users with the install before.  Run 'msconfig' (type it in the start search box) and under tools select disable UAC.  Once you have done that, un-install the software via control panel, restart, install the software, and restart.  Both restarts are not optional; they are required (again, Windows registry).
