Two new releases are upcoming:
Version 1.1: 1.1 was once canceled in favor of consolidation with 1.2, but it is back on the release schedule. Version 1.1 will fix the copy/paste performance issues which have been more than annoying this past year. Version 1.1 will also roll in some other additional changes. Estimated release is in late March. Version 1.2 (the DMX version): This will add DMX capabilities to the Aurora 1.x product line. This release will include the help manual as well. Release is estimated to be around July. |

When you say copy/paste performance, do you mean the time it takes for the actual pasting to take effect? In other words, when I copy then paste, I can go for an oil change and have a bite to eat and it will still be pasting. That will be a very good thing!

@BigDPS: Correct. What once took an entire geologic epoch to complete will now be done in a few minutes. Initial results look very promising.
@TheQueb: That is the plan, yes. (Development continues.) |

@JohnnyL: If I recall, you were part of the (small) group that was experiencing phantom shows, right? Meaning that at midnight, your show would sometimes start up again? (Or you would wake up at 3am seeing it going full blast?) While I can't mention specifics, I can say that some minor changes to the scheduler have been made and I believe they are stable enough that Michael will most likely include them in a release.
No changes (that I am aware of) have (yet) been made to RGB. But I'm not the programmer, so I can't comment with any real authority.

Some RGB issues that were incidental to another issue have been fixed but have not yet been through testing specific to the RGB aspect. I'm not in front of the bug reports right now, so I'm not sure if your specific RGB issue has been addressed or not.
The minor scheduler changes (which should workaround the midnight issue) will be rolled into 1.1. Near-seamless sequence transitions are stable in beta as well, so that feature will also roll into 1.1. While I wanted 2.0 to be in 2010 (we certainly could use the sales), it probably will not happen until 2011. This early part of this year will focus on major fixes (such as copy/paste) and roll in of minor fixes tested in 2009. The middle of the year will contain the DMX focus. After DMX, we'll be doing a "paper cut" release in order to clean up as many of the various annoyances that we can. In parallel with all of the above, we'll be migrating to a new installer in order to get rid of the installation issues. |

Although "Near-seamless transitions" sounds fancy and complicated, it is actually a really cool very easy to use new feature. This last season, it took me an average of 9 seconds to go from one sequence to the next; you may have noticed something similar in your shows. You will now have the ability (via a checkbox) to pre-load your sequences at the scheduled show start time so that during the show, as soon as one sequence ends, the next one plays pretty much instantaneously. I actually had to edit in a few seconds of silence between the songs and the voiceovers!
