Has anyone had any luck importing LOR 2 files, and more specifically those from
http://www.xmas.planetmonkman.com/lor.htm Some will import, but with no channels and some just cause Aurora to crash. I did not know if was just these particular sequences or LOR 2 in general. |

Have had no problems with any other LOR2 sequence, but will try these and see what happens.
EDIT - Just dloaded and tried WIW - imported just fine. Would help if you could specify which ones were having issues. Edited by LightChristmas - 21 Aug 2008 at 9:52pm |

I ran through a few this morning:
Crashes Aurora: Adams Family Ghostbusters Halloween Theme Santa Clause in a Boogie Imports with no channels showing: THX Bettlejuice Carol of the Bells Techno Friday the 13th Does seem to import: Wizards in Winter Error when Aurora crashes in vista: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: aurora_sequencer.exe Application Version: 0.7.0.0 Application Timestamp: 48a8af47 Fault Module Name: StackHash_96fd Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 04246c81 OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 96fd Additional Information 2: d94b0cb09f808b4806d95935a5d3adf1 Additional Information 3: 82c9 Additional Information 4: 91cdfc80a8006087a8077784ed6c15ec |

Checked the Monkman "Carol O the Bells" sequence and got this:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: aurora_sequencer.exe Application Version: 0.7.0.0 Application Timestamp: 48a8af47 Fault Module Name: StackHash_96fd Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 04246c81 OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 96fd Additional Information 2: d94b0cb09f808b4806d95935a5d3adf1 Additional Information 3: 82c9 Additional Information 4: 91cdfc80a8006087a8077784ed6c15ec More for Michael than anyine else:
The sequence loads fine under LOR, and the only unusual thing I see about it is the incredibly long channel descriptions - up to 24 characters long, and when saving-as under LOR, it reports an image file is missing (from their virtualizer). I suspect this missing image file is what is causing the problems.
It is not an LOR1 file, as the import just caused Aurora to hang and do nothing (a different fix needed here).

I had the same issue with two of the Halloween tracks on the site. Importing as a LOR1 file just hangs Aurora. Importing as a LOR2 crashes Aurora

They are LOR2 files, however the audio file name lacks a path so Aurora gets confused and chokes on it. I've added this to the issue list for a future fix.
In the meantime I have a workaround:
Move the audio file to a different directory than that of the sequence. Aurora will assume it doesn't exist and will prompt you for the location after which the sequence will complete importing properly.

Hi I am new. I just started using this program today since the whole d-light / Spectrum issue. I am able to get my LOR II sequences to import, but the timming is not correct. It turns the lights on at the correct time the first time, but afterwards it just has the lights on all of the time. In other words, the file is imported, the channels are correct, but the timings are off. Thanks for your help. |

Its late so forgive me if I sound muddle-headed.
Are you saying the "on" commands are not in time with the music? If so, the fix is easy. Click EDIT then select Timing Shift. This will let you reposition the music track to match the events. |
