Is there a way to get the scedular to run as a service so that it will start it's self on boot?

Not at this time. You can drop it in the StartUp folder and it will load, but there's that pesky START button that needs clicking.

I'd like to request a "- start" as a feature. :)

Adding a -start shouldn't be a problem for us to do.  I'll add it to "the list".

At some point we might consider having the scheduler run as a service but it does not at this time and probably will not for 2008.  It will need to wait until after a planned COM abstraction change in 2009.

You could try the old "SRVANY" trick after we add the autostart option, but I don't offer any guarantees on it.

Ooh, Ooh!  I have and answer!  There's this freeware program that replays......

Aw nuts.  This post in another scheduler thread beat me to it.

I tried  AutoIt for Christmas '06 to schedule WMP to open a songlist for my semi-automated display back then.  I think I also tried it later in the year for the rather cumbersome process of copy/paste in Spectrum.  It didn't work too well for the latter, but AutoHotKey created macros that were perfect for the job.

At any rate, this is what I get for being a soccer dad today and not just hanging out here. LOL
