Hey Guys,
The unthinkable happened last night, my christmas laptop died. Thank god for backing up. but anyways I am having an issue with scheduler on my other computer. window 7 aurora 1.090, I have created my shows as normal but when I close the scheduler down and then try and re open it. I get an error message, I have to go into the files and remove the audiocache.dat and then start it up and everything works great till I close it again. Any ideas? its not a huge deal, at least I am up and running again. Thanks steve

Ah, the 457 error. A particularly annoying one too. You can also try moving the borealis.dat and config.dat files as well as the audiocache.dat file elsewhere. They will automatically regenerate themselves. Yes, you will have to set up your show again. Set up the serial networks and playback options in Sequencer itself instead of through the scheduler. That often helps.
Even still, the above steps do not guarantee that the error won't occur again later as it just resets the program. The best bet is to simply leave scheduler running for the season if you can. |

On one of my installs I noticed a similar behavior after Windows updated a few files. Fortunately, those errors simply shut the program down instead of locking you out of it. One trick that helps is to make any changes to the show (such as start and end times or sequence order), save the show, exit the app, ensure that Scheduler is truly closed via the task manager (or just restart the system), turn the Scheduler back on, and start the show without making any further changes. On days I have to leave early and no one can make sure everything started up ok (like on Christmas), I'll start the show up early, like 2:00pm. It may look a little strange to see lights on during the day, but at least I know it's on. Neither suggestions are the most ideal solution, but I've noticed that the first makes a difference and with the second one I know for sure that it's on. At least development on Aurora 2 is ongoing, so at some point these little headaches will become a thing of the past.

hey guys,
I am not sure if this is a fix or not but this seemed to work for me last night 6 hours not one crash. I right clicked on the schedular shortcut on the desktop( I wanted to confirm where the files were so I could make sure i deleted all of them) then I clicked on properties. I then noticed there was a compatability tab so I clicked on that. then I noticed a box that said " run this program in compatibility mode for" Windows xp. Well since aurora had no issues for me on my dead windows xp computer thought why not try that. and well a full night with not one issue again. yes a Christmas miracle.... thanks everyone for your help
