Aurora
On SCL there's a few LOR S2 beta testers, and some D-Lite users, DIY folks and DMX folks. Most are LOR purists though. I'm a little bit of everything but D-Lite... There's been a section for Aurora there on SCL for a few months and this is the first bit of discussion about this control software. I noticed there's no engine for PM here so I guess this thread is the ticket.
What is the criteria for a member to test this software package? I have a little experience with LOR and S2 (Two annual displays, one of each... and two lighting enthusiat gatherings in the Philly area) I also have a pile of DIY hardware, some of it converted to run DMX a yet untested. I've used Vixen for off season play at our seasonal campground, and to drive a LEDTriks display...
Was just wondering if I can play along?

In the coming months Aurora will be adding Firefly "native mode" support and DMX support. We also have plans for several other protocols in 2009. An SDK is being developed to allow third parties to develop plugins for Aurora. Feel free to try out our version 1 demo (which will be posted in about an hour). As for becoming a beta tester, an announcement about that will be coming in a few days. |
