Darryl has tested the firmware (but I've been busy at work).
Connect up to 10 strings (160 pixels / 480 channels) to a single controller! Adjust the dimming linearity values for Red, Green and Blue. Make it work "backwards" Subdivide the pixels (make it act like 8 pixels instead of 16) to reduce channel counts. It is now on the D-Light website in the Open Forum. |

Done some significant testing now. The current DMX firmware for Firefli is working very well. So far, I'm just testing with a DMX output program (Abuelites), but it has worked great for multiple strings on a single controller.
The real test will be with Sequencing Software on fast and slow chases!!! |

My testing with Aurora has not been great. :( While I have input several trial setups (I'm using Network 32 and it sees my D-Light dongle), I am not getting the correct colors out.
... by "not great" I mean that Red usually gives me solid white and Green will sometimes be Blue'ish. How should I be setting up the channels? I have been adding a Firefli controller from the list. How would I add a Firefli that actually had more strings? 32 pixels, 48 pixels, etc... A "sample" file to look at might be useful. Edited by JonB256 - 06 Apr 2011 at 12:02pm |

Jon.
I would think some sort of open channel controller will be created in future version so you can run 1 channel or 100 channels from a controller. As of now, you need to set it up as a normal 16 channel controllers. The combine the channels by RGB. Thats how I did one of my pixel controllers for 15 rgb modules. . pixel 1 (Ch1 red, Channel 2 blue, channel 3 green) Pixel 2 (channel 4 red, channel 5 blue, channel 6 green) and so on. |
