Didn't know if you could help me...

When i install Aurora v1.0 i get this error message " Error 1931. The Windows Installer service could not update the system file C:§WINDOWS§System32§scrrun.dll because the file is protected by Windows. You may need to update your operating system for this program to work correctly."

below that it has Ok or Cancel

if I press ok the installer continues and later says Aurora Sequencer has been successfully installed. Click "Close" to exit
which I do

The I click on Aurora Sequencer from my desktop and click Import File
I click Light-O-Rama v1.x File
then I select my file and click open
then a new dialog box comes up with "Importing Sequence" and at the bottom it says "Converting Events"
whish at this point it just simply freezes
until i end its task through the task manager

I also cannot create a sequence from scratch.

I have rebooted many times and uninstalled and installed many times.

the § is meant as a back slash

i am running Windows XP
2.8 GHZ 1Gb ram

Make certain that the offending file's archive bit  has not been set to Read-Only. If so, untag the Read Only and try reinstalling. If an install errors out in such a manner, its a given that the programs will not work properly either.

Thanks for the help... One more problem arose from the solution... I get the same error message and code but instead of scrrun.dll I get maxml3.dll

I did the same steps as listed above (unchecking the read-only) for the msxml3.dll and still same problem... any HELP?!?!?!?!?!?

Thanks Much - CLaughinghouse

Have you tried importing under LOR2? If you try to import a LOR2 sequence using the LOR1 import, it will freeze as you're describing.
