I'm working on rolling out the new web site today.  Part of this process is some forum changes:

The new official address for the Aurora forums is http://www.aurorashow.com/forum/

The old "lightsonlogan" address will still work for a while (it points to the same database) but it will not have all of the features enabled that the real site does.

1) No more Google ads at the top of every page referring to strange stuff like DNA sequencing just because the word "sequencing" appears on the page.

2) Private messaging enabled with a larger inbox

3) Forum notifications will now come from the Aurora address

At some point I will drop the old URL entirely, so I highly recommend getting used to the new URL.

Very cool.  And with PM too!  Sweet.

The PM function will be great...no more having to jump over to D-light to do that. Thumbs%20Up

I wonder, if you get a PM, will it send a message to your email like D-light and PC do?

There's now an option to enable that in your forum preferences....provided you log in at the new forum url. Smile

Thanks, I looked at that list and didn't see it...LOL

I just got a PM from Lightchristmas.  (my first PM here, I'll have to keep it for sentimental values LOL

It actually pops up a new window when you open the forum telling you that you have a new PM.  I actually like that better than a email notification.
