Sorry to sound like a broken record, but no. You will find it to be better than the Spectrum version, though.

Speaking of Importing. I tried to import a 64 channel sequence from Spectrum, but it only brought in 32 channels. Any ideas?
(This was on my playback PC, as I am still not able to get the program running on my main programming PC, though)

did you use Virtual controller in Spectrum? I found they goof with the channel numbering within spectrum causing the controller to have multiple channel with the same number. When you import that into Aurora, it only brings in 1 and dumps the rest. that might explain why you are missing channels. I erased the virtual controllers and then went through each controller and made sure each channel was set right. controller 1-4 Channels 1-16 I found I had a number of identical labels channels.

I dont think I was using virtual controllers. I added the "shared AC16" controllers from the list on the left. Then I made some light settings, saved the sequence, then tried importing it to Aurora.

Try this. Create a sequence that has all the channels you are going to use, and save it as "template"or "default" or something like that. Then once you open the file you are going to sequence, go to file, import, channels from file, and select your saved template file. The few times I've imported a sequence where some channels were missing this solved the issue. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that if you import a sequence where the channels are named the same thing (i.e. Track 1, Track 2, (et al) on more than one controller), then only the first set will import. But if you import from file, then all the channels that were gone will suddenly be there, including the commands.
Don't forget, if you add or alter anything in the visualizer, save it to your template file and then re-import it to all your sequences. This way you won't have to add that new strand of lights to the visualizer on each sequence you do. |
