so tonight I added Santa Baby from the pussy cat dolls to my show. Great right..
I now am noticing that one set of candy cane rows which has the exact same timing is reacting differently than the another. one board is a year newer. but the firmwares are at 1.17 on each board.
typically the slight diferrence would not be picked up but in this sequence I have them highlighting the double hi-hat. so it is pretty appearant. If someones willing to try the sequence for me or has expierenced this please shoot me a line.

Come to think of it they are on 2 different boards. the one that is quick firing is on the newer board the one that is acting as I want it to is on an old board!

Check the values for resistors R1-R16. If I remember correctly, D-Light changed those resistors to improve the board response with low current loads. If your old board has the 180 ohm ones and the new board has 220 or 270 ohms, then that might be an issue.
