I have decided to create a mix of songs about 10 to 15 mins long becuase I seem to sequence half or 3/4 of a song and then start another sequence for a change of pace and end up with a bunch of half sequenced songs, My question is how difficult would it be to maybe add a mixer type option into future versions of Aurora so you could build mixed sequences or maybe a companion program that would let you piece partial sequences together that Aurora would open.

you could always mix you songs together using Audacity or similar audio software, then just sequence that one song file....   BUT

Does anyone know what is the recommended Song length for Aurora. (file size)  I know Spectrum got goofy if you tried to play anything more than like 4-5 minutes

The theoretical maximum is in excess of 16 hours, but reality is probably far less than that depending on your hardware.  A 15 minute audio file should be no problem at all.

I did that last year had about 18 minutes with absolutely no issue.  That was just one huge tecno song. killed Spectrum every time that is one of the many reason I switched to Aurora last year!

Correction... I just remembered an index that is limited to 33 minutes 20 seconds, so that is the current brick wall maximum.  This can be increased to 16 hours if the table is expanded, but I'm not going to worry about it until someone has a compelling reason to exceed 33 minutes.

Audacity is the program I used and it is working great so far. I asked the question about adding the capability to mix sequences to Aurora because anyone who had a lot of sequences made up that decided to go the mixing route would have to mix the songs and then re-sequence them in Aurora. it would be a nice extra to think about for later releases or like I said a companion program that would mix the sequences and then open them in Aurora. I'm sure it's easier said than done coming from someone who knows nothing about  developing software but I though I would throw it out there anyway. Thanks
