Hooray!!! I found it!  It seems that SCRRUN.DLL was not registered.  I found this inofrmation at http://www.blogsire.com/SBizzTech/blog-doc/runtime-error-429-activex-component-cant-create-object/ .   I looked for and found the file in the system32 folder and entered the command     Regsvr32.exe C:\windows\system32\Scrrun.dll  at the run window.

Lights-On -Logan, thanks for all of your help and hanging in there with this problem.

Hooray!  I found the problem.  Found the solution at http://www.blogsire.com/SBizzTech/blog-doc/runtime-error-429-activex-component-cant-create-object/ and used the command Regsvr32.exe C:\windows\system32\Scrrun.dll at the run window.  Then clicked on the Scheduler... no error message and then the calendar appeared.

Lights-On-Logan, thanks so much for all of your help.

Thanks for the information.  I believe the scripting runtimes are one of those files that MS says not to redistribute in the installer because they are OS specific and are supposed to already exist on any target system... but they can and do get messed up by other software having installers that do not obey this rule.  It is good to know how this can affect Aurora and what the solution is.
