Good evening everyone!

I am looking to buy a sequencer software for my DLIGHT acx16 controllers and this software comes highly recommended.  So I thought I would load the demo and check it out...I downoad 1.0.69 and it installs fine...I start to create a file and add an MP3 file click next...say no to importing channel config and CRASH...now if I change that to a WAV file...it works fine...

Does Aurora not accept MP3 files?

Error information in the crash:

Aurora encountered an unexpected error and will reset.
Debugging information
6: Overflow
Main Processing Loop
Aurora Audio 3

Any help anyone?

Thanks in advance!

Kevin

That is an indication your MP3 file is corrupted or is not a standard MP3 (256k bitrate). Aurora prefers using WAV files (audio quality is much better anyway), so you may consider re-ripping the CD (if applicable)  to WAV format.

FYI, the current release version is v1.0.90, which includes some stability fixes from v.1.0.69  The reason you will want to stick with .wav files is because there are a plethora of .mp3 encoders out there and not all of them create files that work with Aurora.  Since Aurora is going to convert that mp3 file to a 16 bit .wav file anyway, it is highly recommended using .wav files to start with.

Since an upgrade was recommended, I must pop in here to mention the proper upgrade procedure:

1. Uninstall 1.0.69 from Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel
2. Reboot (even if you aren't asked to)
3. Install 1.0.90
4. Reboot (even if you aren't asked to)

If you skip any step there is a good chance that you'll end up with pieces of 1.0.69 still hanging around messing up 1.0.90.
