New DLS file sequenced. On two channels when played with solid on all the time, the light blinks and wont come on again until the next solid on, then just blinks again. Built a "test" sequence and it works fine. Even pulled the test channels over to new sequence..same problem.
Upgraded all Dlight software and Aurora software. Re installed everything. It just wont work on this sequence. Any thoughts? I am test other sequences to verify that its only one. So far.

For the newer D-Light firmwares (1.19+ I believe) there is a byte which needs to be set with the D-Light Hardware Utility to make the controller Aurora compatible (D-Light can provide instructions for setting this if you haven't done it yet).  Have you done this?

No Michael I have not.  So there is a patch of some sort. I will check this out and advise. Do you know what they call this "byte"?

Latest ACx16 firmware is Ver 1.20 which is a corrected ver 1.19.

This mess happened when LOR got a wild hair and changed their protocol a bit.

To get Aurora to work with v1.20, do the following per Darryl:

http://www.d-light.us/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2014

"*IF* you are using Aurora, go into the HWUtil's "Advanced" tab
Select EEPROM 40 and set to 1 (from 0).

This is a hack to work with Aurora and the protocol changes in 1.19/1.20. This firmware does provide the comm error protection for "lost" id and stuck channel errors."

Now, just has a question...does v1.20 really do me any good or should I go back to where I was?

Ran 1.20 all last season with no problems, so I'd suggest updating to avoid any surprises.

You have to run the HW Utility from a command prompt with "-advanced" at the end.

Or you could just copy / paste this into your command prompt:

c:\progra~1\D-Ligh~1\hardwa~1\DLight~1.exe -advanced

For more info on this, you can find it on the D-Light forum under http://www.d-light.us/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2014 - this thread .

well I would like to say it worked but it didnt... says its not a valid command. Tried it several times. Same results.  I am not a dos guy at all...I did read the D-light thread and it mentioned opening utility, discover, make sure you have a solid light and click the triangles to the right....nothing doing....getting frustrated. I am sure they hid that advanced tab for people like me....

Mark,

First you need to use the Frimware updater and install the V1.20 firmware.  Set your ID and then you are good to adjust the EEprom setting as per the next instructions.

If you are using Xp, click your start menu, then the run tab, it will open a prompt.  If you are using Win 7 then it is Start, Accessories, "Run"  In the box that opens, at the  prompt enter "c:\progra~1\D-Ligh~1\hardwa~1\DLight~1.exe -advanced" without the quotes.

When the HW utility opens, the last tab will say advanced.  Once you connect, it will allow you to get to the eeprom setting that you need to adjust
