Dumb question, but is there a way to copy all channel events from one channel and copy to another channel?   I have tried highlighting with the Y tool and pasting (even small parts of a song, not all events) - it pulls up a dialog box with several selections (keep timing, etc.) but I keep getting the Selection Could Not Be Pasted in this Area (no matter which selection I make, keep timing, use timeline, etc.)

Thank you.

You do need at least one start marker and one end marker.

Go the the start of the channel events you wish to copy. Use the Y Tool and select the first marker. The hold the left mours buttom down and hit the end key. It will then jump to the end of the sequence. Then right click so you can copy. Select copy. Then hit the home key and it will jump to the start of the sequence. Then go to where you want to paste the copied cells and hit paste. Voila an entire channel copied to another channel :-)

Seems to work good.  Thank you.

Another question.  I have a channel in a sequence that i want to copy (with the events) to a new sequence.  I tried this method with 2 auroras open, hit copy on the first one, then tried to paste in second, but now i am back to the can't copy sequence.

Thanks.

As far as I'm aware you can't copy from one sequence to another. You can only copy and paste within the same sequence.
