Is there any way to do timing per channel like in Spectrum?  We're looking at adding arches this year, and it seems like doing fluid sweeping would be alot easier if it could be done on separate intervals from the other channels.

I can grab a selection and split it into equal increments, but then it just overlays the existing grid, which makes a mess of intervals that are tough to distinguish.

No, not at this time.

During 2009 we will be introducing a feature to accomplish the same thing but it will work a bit differently than the way Spectrum did.  We'll be introducing "grouping" to the intervals.  The event marker tool will allow you to assign the interval to a "group" (visible by color code) and then the other tools will allow the events to be applied to selected groups.  It sounds confusing now, but once seen it will be very pretty easy to grasp.  There are some channel subgroup/mute/solo features on the horizon as well.

Hmmmm.  This is starting to resemble something a lot like a sound console. Big%20smile

If I ever get around to my intro post, it will make perfect sense as to why this would make me very happy.....Clap

Think on that just a bit more, Tony. What else "looks" like an audio board.Wink Starts with a "D", ends with an "X". Has channel groups, etc....

http://www.solarisnetwork.com/registered_item_Vari-Lite__Virtuoso%20DX - THIS !  That will sure show those folks over at LOR a thing or two, huh?

Okay...but seriously, I don't think that I've ever seen mute and solo on a light board.  But since I've been out of the loop since 2002, anything's possible.  Wink

Ok I confess... pro audio is another hobby of mine.  You might have guessed this though based upon the spectrogram, the W2E noise gate/compressor/expander options, and the subgroup/mute/solo terminology.

Pretty decent hints, but you tipped your hand somewhere else around here.  I thought it was in your introduction post, but I just re-read it, and that wasn't it.  But I've read so much around here since September 1st that it's all a blurr. Wacko

That's not bad; I can't even remember what I've posted since 9/1 from the same blur!
