Can anyone share the image used for their FM sign? I added a modulator this year and need to make something up.

I didn't use an image - I made a wooden box, put some C9s in it.  Then using a fluorescent light plexiglass panel, put a sheet of contact paper on it - print out your sign created in MS Word and cut out around the letters.  Spray paint the sign, remove the letters.

Here's a crappy picture of it.  :)

Dude, edit your e-mail address before the bots get it and spam you.  Do the "____ (at) ____ (dot) ____"

We're using both a Alpha BigDOT LED display and a static sign:
Here's one of ours:
Made for last year from and old 2x2 drop ceiling light panel , wooden box, CLF light, penguine standing on package added for this year..  Entirely made from scraps - a little crude but effective.

I have made one on Photoshop. If you want it, just give me a place like fileshare to upload to you. It's almost 250 megs big or 30 inch by 24.5 inch.

So it looks like a "light box" is the way to go.  Let me see what I can make up tomorrow.

I had mine printed on backlit and made a box with 70 extra bright icy white lights in it. Unfortunately, the backlit they used is too thick so it barely goes through. They will be reprinting it on thinner stuff which will be alright.

My wife made ours with her cricut. It is a very neat toy to have around the house. I will get her to take a picture so I can post it in the next day or two.

I apologize if that is too big I posted it and then realized how big it is.  I don't know how to pull it back off or edit it. Sorry.

Here's and examble of how I plan to use the video projection as another means of communicating to visitors (in addition to the static sign)

Yeah, I got a pretty good deal on a used Epson 9000i from eBay.. Hopefully there's enough bulb hours to get through the upcoming Christmas season.. Replacement bulbs are $$PRICEY$$. When that happens I might just look at what newer technology has to offer.Confused

I did something similar to this last year but I ran the cartoon version of the Grinch. Every so often it would also have jpeg's of various still shots from christmas movies and cartoons pop up. I also had warnings about video surveillence, The station frequencies, and Merry christmas would pop up on the screen in different languages. I had so many people coming by and watching the grinch I added a second transmitter on its own frequency with the feed from the projector. The projector I used is just the cheapie one called the torpedo look for it at target for around a hundred bucks. I think walmart also had it for sale(google it)

Yeah - I'm doing more than just the simple radio sign as well - Examples of some of the video I've done can be viewed at http://www.keenlights.info/video/VideoFiles.htm - http://www.keenlights.info/video/VideoFiles.htm .

For those sequences I didn't have anything specific in mind the projector doubles as another radio sign.

As for the Torpedo I looked at it and doubt it will meet my need shooting through glass on 2 doors and reverse screen, but I've done research on it and it sure looks like it could fit well for some.

I built a box for mine that is weatherproof. I also have an x-10 video sender to it so the video comes from inside. I am in the process of building a new house so this year I wont be able to it for Halloween but I have video from a night when the moon was full with the clouds going in front of it. so next year for the graveyard I will have a full harvest moon up on top of the roof.

Sounds like a fantastic idea! Any chance of sharing your projector project? I would be interested in how it was constructed layout etc.

Thanks in Adance.
