I'd like to take this oppertunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and joyous holiday season. May the warmth of the season be with you all throughout the 2010 year.

Also a Special THANK YOU to Michael and Aurora.

Our 2009 show has been running extremely well. I've even had time to actually enjoy watching it myself this year. CNN picked up on the local TV station interview and although I haven't seen it I was told it aired on CNN, and the local newspaper also did a write up and they also listed us in their light tours of the area. We were also interviewed by the cable company channel and they listing us as one of the top 5 displays in the Lehigh Valley (Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, PA area) and are including our interview that runs Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve that shows the top 5 for the past 10 years that they and the newspaper have been doing light tours.

It was all possible because of Aurora combined with the crazy way my brain works.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Yes.. congrats on the TV coverage.  You did have that Aurora sign in your yard, correct?

I have mixed opinions on TV coverage myself.  Yes, I would find my 15 minutes of fame to be fun, but I'm also afraid it might be just that... 15 minutes.  In all liklihood, the traffic would surge so uncontrollably that I'd have no choice but to shut down the display.  As a result, I've discouraged media coverage of my display and just let it spread by word of mouth alone.

I feel the same way.  Word of mouth got me a line of cars this year.  Coverage would make it impossible to get into the neighborhood!

I was hoping to make the paper especially since I'm the only show in town. Traffic has been a bit slow this year.  TV coverage would be too much for me as well.    2 years ago the newspaper coverage added about 15-20 cars a night to the show which is more than manageable here.
