I think (but have been wrong before) that we've fixed this...
Those still experiencing problems:
1. Uninstall Aurora
3. Install the new version you just downloaded.
Let me know if it works; if it does I will replace the standard download with this one.

OK, I downloaded the "mscomct2" CAB file from Microsoft http://support.microsoft.com/kb/297381 I opened the CAB, copied them to my desktop, right clicked on the INF file to install. Now the scheduler works without the erorr message. (I haven't run the scheduler yet, but no more error message when just creating an event) (I noticed the bc_34a posted the same fix in the other thread on these issues)Edited by JonB256 - 04 Sep 2008 at 8:48am |

ok SOOOOO! I tried the following:
1) downloaded the 2nd vista patch (didn't work) 2) Reinstalled Aurora (didn't work) 3) Deleted mscomm32.ocx, started aurora and it repaired it (didn't work) 4) deleted mscomct2.ocx , started aurora and it repaired it (didn't work) Note: Sequencer works perfect from what I can tell, always has. This error pops up in scheduler when i double click on a date on the calendar, or add a new event. Here is the error in full: Aurora encountered and unexpected error and will now reset. Debugging Information: 339: Component 'MSCOMCT2.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid Aurora.Scheduler.NewSchedule.0 Aurora.Scheduler.NewSchedule.0 so that's all I know...thanks so far for all the ideas to try! Hope this helps figure something out. Is it just me, or are other people starting to get it fixed? Anymore input would be appreciated! Thanks! Edited by wellinge - 03 Sep 2008 at 11:46pm |
