Ahhh, I see it now. If you are adding channels, not controllers, you will see the pre 1.13 option. Yes, you will want to use the ACx16 option then. Or you can add an entire controller and then edit the properties (channel name, color, etc.) in the bulk channel editor. Frankly, I think it would be a lot easier doing it that way, but that's just me.

so pre 1.13 means anything before 1.13 and anything newer should be D-light AC16 right?

Choose the "D-Light ACx16 (1.13+ firmware)". All the 1.13+ means is that your hardware needs to be at least 1.13 or higher. The current release for the ACx16 hardware is 1.15 (beta version).
I'm not quite sure what you mean by pre 1.13. I added a controller to see if I could replicate your issue and everything appeared normally. Could you give us a little more info on what you were doing? |

This may sound stupid but I want to make sure before I have it all hooked up and ready to go.
I have'nt had any crashes with the newest release but I'm not sure what to choose when I'm choosing device type.
I assume that the one I need to choose is D-light AC16.
I was choosing D-light AC16 1.13 firmware but now it says pre 1.13.
