Did the same conversion last year. I just got a hold of Daryl from d-light though and he was able to send me the new dmx eeproms for a minimal fee. I only needed 3 though for my acx16s.
The sequences work fine in aurora once you get your mind around how the channel assignments line up. You don't really have to redo the songs. Just realign the channel assignments in one song and then you can import that channel assignment into your other songs. |

1: Yes
2: Using a PIC2 EEPROM burner 3: Depending on which version, you have to convert your sequences to DMX using Aurora software found in the forum 4: It was a challenge for me since I had a bogus DMX file on my boxes. Once that was figured out, it was easy. If it hadn't been that, it would have been pretty good . Also, you can count on help from others when in a bind. |

I'm in the military and have not been able to put up my Christmas display for the last three years due to military moves. I planned on doing it again this year. I come back on line and everything has changed.
Everything ran great for 2012 but it appears everything is moving to DMX. Here's what I have: 8 ACx16 controllers running the latest firmware from D-light 4 ACx8 controllers running the latest firmware from D-light Aurora software version 1.069 Windows 10 on a desktop Question? 1) Is anyone else using D-light hardware using DMX and Aurora? 2) If so, how did you reprogram your PICs? 3) Did you need to do anything with your current sequences programmed using Aurora? 4) If so, was it a simple translation or did you need to re-invent the wheel. Thanks for your help |
