The offering of an Aurora branded DMX dongle has been retracted (see here), as well as support for all other DMX dongles. Current development is restricted to E1.31 (DMX over Ethernet) only.

Will the DMX dongle be available this year? The reason I ask is because I'm thinking of building vfloods and I think I would need the DMX dongle and run DMX on a sepearate network?

We have the dongles in stock but are waiting until about a month before the DMX release to put them on the web site.

So the net net is I will need my D-Light Dongle and my (soon to be announced) Aurora DMX Dongle. This taking 2 USB ports. Also seperate Networks via the sequencer while sequencing my songs.
Think that is about right. Is there a time frame on the release of the dongle?

Thanks Deweycooter.
I should have said that Aurora can transmit the two protocols simultaneously over two seperate networks. 1 for D-Light and a one for DMX.

Just a point of clarity - the DMX protocol and the D-Light/LOR protocol cannot coexist on the same network. In 2008, I had a totally D-Light display. For 2009, I added another dongle (network) for my DMX hardware.

I'm pretty sure that the Aurora USB/DMX dongles will be ready built and yes you can use both the DMX and D-Light networks simultaneously. This was done by many of the Beta Testers this last christmas season.

Now you have declared that DMX capability will be out mid year, have you made further progress on the dongle? Will that be out at the same time? Will it be something that we will need to build or are you going to have them manufactured?
Will we be able to use dlight and DMX technologies together?
Wow all the questions ....
