Here's an idea. You should wait until everyone in the neighborhood has their lights up, and then find the one neighbor that just drives you absolutely nuts. Around 2am after their lights have gone off for the night, sneak over to their place with one of those things, plug it in and crack the volume way up, and hide it in the bushes. Then the next day just sit back, wait for the lights to turn on, and watch the fun begin.

Ya want 2 of them? Both even wired for external sound (or fm radio).. One 20 song model with hyper-speed ability below 32 degrees and the other is 40 song model. The last thing I want is my indoor christmas tree blinking to the music so I won't be using them.. Maybe I can plug up some ground-hog holes with them. Got rid of my boat so I'm no longer in need of anchors.

I think we're all putting liquid gold in our vehicles these days. I think I can speak for most of us here that we all appreciate your wife. Tell her with her caring and patience, she's helping to give many wives all over the country a great Christmas Gift.....a happy and stress free lighting season. Until the Spectrum Player was released mid december last year, I thought my wife was going to kill me and that only helped a little. . It looks like with Aurora, that will be avoided....knock on wood....

Actually its more like a 1990 Suburban... I just paid $105 to fill up today. Despite it seeming like it runs on liquid gold, I'm happy with my vehicle for now. My wife keeps hoping for a Lexus though. Sorry dear.
Seriously though, Aurora wouldn't exist without my wife being so caring and patient!

I'm alot better organized with the 112 channels this year than I was with only the 6 channels that Mr. Christmas has! Took me longer to gather up the extension cords last year than taking down all the lights.. I had no clue what I wanted and where I wanted it last year.
I learned alot from Mr. Christmas and from numerous forums. Besides I'll know where all the cords go ... I'll probably start putting up the lights the week before Thanksgiving and the way I have things prep'd don't see any problems with show starting on schedule Thanksgiving night.
There's been times that I mock up alot of lights to test things out - my basment looks like a Christmas bomb exploded in it when I do . My sequences are done, We have 19 musical selections totaling approximately 58 minutes in length.
My sequences are availabe on my website should anyone like to have them.

I didn't want to clutter up the Hi introduction page with responses, so I'll throw them here since there were some great Intro's.
Pony-god: "So this year I'm giving her 4 ACx16s, 1 Firefly, and a parterage in a pear tree." 64 channels and Firefly the first year.......holy If I gave my wife a Christmas gift like that, I'd be sleeping with the basement next to my lights. Slinkard: "he bet me $1 that I couldn't do it" I've had a few of those dollar bets, makes you wish you bet more now..... Bdkeen: "Along comes D-light into my life. 2 controllers will be enough - yeah Right.. now at 112 channels and holding for 2008 the first year doing this." I thought Pony-god was crazy with 64 channels and FF the first year...... just the thought of the cord management with that many channels makes my eyes go Lights on Logan: "By the way... doing software development consulting paid a lot better than Aurora does... but Aurora is certainly far more fun!" We're glad you decided to forgo buying the Ferrari this year and kept driving the 1987 honda civic. Seriously, so your making less that the guys at McDonalds, but what other job lets to play with pretty blinky lights all day. We're all glad you decided to ensure the rest of us would have a stress free Christmas Lighting season.... We all wish you a profitable Christmas lighting season. |
