I'm new to Aurora and am starting to get the hang of it, but have noticed a couple of issues that I would think would be an easy fix.
  • If you click Create New File from the startup options and then click cancel it kills the whole program without any warnings.
  • If you open the Bulk Channel Editor and have not created any channels yet the program crashes giving a "Runtime Error '9': Subscript Out Of Range"
  • Not sure what the limitation on jpg size is, but when I tried to load one that was about 6MB it crashed the program giving all kinds of errors and then every time I tried to load that dls file it crashed giving lots of errors.  Had to start all over with a new file.
  • The jpg file, one I resized it smaller, seems to get stretched unexpectedly.  Not sure what size HxW in pixels it is supposed to be.
  • After resizing the jpg to make it fit best I think around 900x900, I started drawing lights.  On about the third or fourth channel it crashed and gave an out of memory error.  I reopened and started again and it works fine now.
  • Not sure what the gray marks are at the top of the waveform.  I thought they were calculated beat marks, but they don't always seem to line up with anything.
  • Would be great to be able to place event markers while the music is playing, by tapping or something, and then have the ability to come back and adjust them to the waveform if you were off on a couple.  I had to play the music and stop so many times just to make sure I knew where the beat occurred.  I tried singling out a note and doing it that way, but the beat note changes and is not the same.
  • Love the split cell option.
  • One time I tried to place a twinkling event on two channels at the same time.  I used info to change the properties of each and when complete the first channel showed an odd graphic and didn't work properly while the second channel worked fine.  A delete and redo worked the next time.
  • Would be nice to have a multiple channel delete option
  • One very minor thing I had was the placement of the shortcut keys.  I understand why they were chosen, but having them closer together would be nice so that when you are making quick switches between tools you don't have to look at the keyboard to find the other key since you usually have one hand on the mouse and one on the keyboard.  A suggestion would be to assign then to the numeric keypad or something so you can reach them all easily with one hand.
  • On the intensity sliders (and I assume any slider), would be nice to be able to type the value in and not have to rely solely on the slider.
  • Just had another error this morning, was playing back and got a Runtime Error '380': Invalid property value when I tried to stop playback.  Crashed the whole progam.

Overall a very nice tool.  My wife loved being able to see the picture of the house with the "lights" on it.  Now that I'm starting to get the hang of it, it is becoming easier to use.  Sorry for the long post, but just thought you would like to know what a new user thinks.Big%20smile
