Late the other night and I mean late, I was sequencing a song and I wanted to see if the W2E effect would look good. Since my office is in the front of the house, I can just look through the window to see some of the lights. The effect actually didn't do anything, so I decided to program a W2E on every single channel to see if that made a difference. I then checked to make sure no cars were coming as I didn't want to spoil the surprise for any of our neighbors, and hit play.
Well, I didn't see the pedestrian walking their dog (who walks their dog at midnight anyway?) until the entire display illuminated their body. All I saw was their startled head turn towards the house just as the poor dog who until that moment had been enjoying a peaceful, quiet walk took off running, yanking their owner behind them. The lights went out just as quickly as they went on, and I can only imagine what that person must have been thinking after that! After that, I decided not to test any effects until show time. |

While not exactly on topic, we ususally start on Thanksgiving but due to technical glitches (broken controller) and work (Aurora) we're a little late with the sequences this year. That didn't stop the visitors though... we must have had 20 people turn around in our driveway last night while the lights were out. Some didn't even wait until then... I was running a chase pattern through HWUtility while testing things on Tuesday and had 3 cars stop in front of the house to see if we were running yet.

At least now people don't look at me strangely when I play Christmas music like they did back in July.

You hear the songs in your dreams at night
Can tell what sequence is playing without the sound

When you're heading to work and the radio starts playing WIW; you want to drive into a big tree at 100mph.
Or.... You get IMs asking to try the latest Beta on a clean Vista machine! Edited by LightChristmas - 27 Nov 2008 at 5:27pm |

I don't know about you guys but right now, I've been sequencing so much, that my brain is starting to play games on me. Hence this post. I'd like to see if you have the same feeling or worse than I am/have.
You know you've been over sequencing when:
You hear a song you've sequenced lately and know exactly which tree lights up according to the beat you hear.
You hear a TV commercial and wouldn't mind trying to sequence it just for the kicks
