ok...."as many computers as are required to run one show location".....that wording is kind of confusing.   Am I going to be able to have it on my work machine and my home machine to run the show?   I sequece at work after hours....bigger computer, dual monitors, and NO interuptions from my wife....Big%20smile

They never run at the same time.

webtech,

What you are doing is completely ok.  So long as you aren't playing back shows at more than one location (e.g at you house and your friends house across town) you are fine.  You are welcome to create sequences at home, work, in orbit on the ISS, etc... you just shouldn't control lights at more than one location.

At any rate, y'all are a fairly trustworthy group so Aurora hasn't been created with top secret phone home mechanisms and hard limits.  Yes, this means you could violate the licensing and share your key a zillion times to put us out of business... but I'm trusting that our customers will not do that!

Thanks for clearing that up, I/we will honor all the work you have done and make sure we use the software like its intended.  Besides, its too much work to have more than one location!

What Michael didn't mention, though, is that if you do run a show on more than one machine, it will dial out and order 1000 pizzas using your credit card number!

In all my travels into the underside of the 'net (undergrounds/pirate/virii, etc.) have yet to ever see a light sequencer posted. I think that speaks volumes for the lighting community, and speaks volumes for Michael as well!

To be honest I expected D-light to quit supporting Spectrum because frankly it was inferior to even the first Logan Player. Aurora is far superior and the new users that are coming along will also see this. This is not a bandaid to the short falls of Spectrum but a true enhancement. This is a top notch product and I'm sure it will eventually take over or be emulated by the rest. In my eyes the D-light Hardware is best in class and the Aurora software is the best in class together they make a great show.

I think that he's saying that you may use it however you'd like, as long as you only use it for a single display while trying not to put a number anywhere.
Fine. You're so smart you rig up the lights.

okay, since there no "I am an IDIOT" button yet!!!

I have my original install on my home computer (man, de ja vue???) how do I get a license key for my work computer? I haven't upgraded yet from .1, I haven't started to seq yet so I didn't need too. I haven't even opened Aurora in quite some time so the answer may just be right there.

is it like help>lic key?

Get your license key for your earlier version
Download the new S/W version from here ->

Insert you license key and the demo mode goes away and the S/W is fully registered :-)

Sound of hands clapping for both Aurora and Spectrum.
