When I installed version 0.3 and rebooted I noticed that my Window fonts slightly changed. Did anyone else notice this? |

I'm aware of this but hoped nobody would notice... Aurora rudely makes a change to Display Properties/Apperance/Effects to enable screen font smoothing. An Aurora bug was causing problems on systems without this option enabled so Aurora forces the option (a temporary workaround until the bug can be fixed after which the rude code can be removed).
Those working on high resolutions (e.g. 1920x1200) will likely not notice (in fact you may see it as an improvement), but it probably annoys those on lower screen resolutions (particularly CRT users). Most laptops come with this option selected by default, so laptop owners running the original OS probably will not notice at all. Edited by LightsOnLogan - 10 Apr 2008 at 3:53pm |
