There is a ramp down function button. Why isn't there a ramp up function?

Right-click on the ramp icon and you can change the start/end intensity, or anything in between for that matter. All the effect icons have a righ-click function so you can modify them to varying extents.
After modifying an effect, you'll notice that a shortcut icon is created - a custom ucon if you will. Simply typing the the number from the keyboard or left-clicking on it will allow you to use it over and over. Edited by LightChristmas - 08 May 2008 at 7:59pm |

It would be good to be able to draw a circle of lights (for wreathes, snow flakes etc) on the simulation page.
In addition to a circle an arch function would be desirable. This would allow you to assign various channels to segments of the arch. It would be good to be able to zoom in on an area of the drawing while placing lights. It would be good to be able to click on a light placement and delete just that segment or element without deleting a whole group. Further it would be nice to be able to click on a light placement and move or change it's size. |

In addition to LCs's suggestion above, it is also possible to Shift any of the shortcut keys to select a tool with properties. For ramp, this is "Shift R". There are some odd bugs with the "recent" tool section in 0.3.0 (the 0-9 keys LC mentioned) that have been corrected for 0.4 which will be out very soon.
Drawing tools are undergoing an overhaul prior to 1.0. Some of what has been requested above (and in another thread) will be in 1.0. The rest will find its way into upcoming versions. Edited by LightsOnLogan - 08 May 2008 at 8:44pm |
